A club night, a pub league, a school tournament: one evening, one winner, and nobody arguing about the bracket at the bar. Create the competition on Competios before the night; from there the sheet keeps score.
How a night runs
Four steps from create to champion.
You create the event
Open Create competition, name the event, add a tournament and set the entry offer. Prefer a hand-held first night? Email us and we will walk through it with you.
Round one pairs itself
The bracket generates from the entrant list. Where the numbers do not divide, a bye is recorded honestly rather than invented, and it is visible on the public page as a bye.
You type the result in
Each result is entered as the match ends — by you, or by us beside you. The next round pairs itself; a round-robin’s points table recalculates itself.
The champion is on the page
The final result completes the competition and the champion appears on the public page, which anybody can open without an account.
When something goes wrong
Mistakes are fixable, not fatal.
A real evening produces a wrong score, a player who leaves early, and a phone with one bar. The engine was built for all three.
