Organiser pricing
One venue. Unlimited events. One small subscription.
Competios is founder-assisted today, but a weekly board-game business should not receive an event-sized invoice every week. One Venue subscription covers unlimited supported events with up to 100 participants in each event. Enquiries are open; paid subscriptions begin only after the production dress rehearsal and written-order, legal and support readiness checks pass.
The organiser with the business outcome pays.
A board-game store, café or venue benefits through entries, table fees, food and drink, game sales and repeat visits. The venue holds the subscription; event frequency is not the meter. Schools, registered nonprofits, student societies and genuine hobby groups retain a bounded free path. Players and spectators never pay to open a public result.
The prices below are the founding commercial policy, not a claim that automated billing exists. We can check fit now. After the readiness gate passes, we confirm the venue, monthly or annual term, and boundaries in writing, then invoice manually. There is no online checkout, usage meter or card-on-file flow.
Free product access while eligible. Founder-assisted onboarding is subject to capacity; commercial use and live support are not included.
Initial setup and rehearsal are included. The organiser runs each event. Live support and reusable, vision-aligned custom work are welcomed and scoped separately.
Free participation has no transaction fee. When paid participation ships, the policy is 5% when Competios handles payment, or €1 per paid participant with the organiser’s connected Stripe account; processor fees are separate.
Prices are in EUR and exclude VAT where it applies. The €9 and €99 options are the same Venue plan at different billing periods. There is no automatic renewal until billing exists, and a subscription never makes a completed public result disappear.
One-time event pricing
A clear price for each capacity band.
The Venue subscription covers events up to 100 participants. A larger one-time event uses the band containing its confirmed participant capacity; it does not require a Venue subscription.
These bands are pricing policy, not a claim that every capacity is technically ready today. Format, load, operations and support must be confirmed before a large event is accepted. The agreed band is set before activation, never as a surprise charge after the event starts.
How buying works
A free fit check. One rehearsal. Then every fitting event.
A subscription only works when the organiser can repeat the workflow. Before either side commits, we use fictional data to prove the current format fits and make the founder-assisted boundary explicit.
A billing issue never interrupts an event already under way or removes its public history. If the current product cannot deliver the agreed founding workflow, the affected subscription fee is refunded.
The boundary
What the price covers today.
The offer is narrow because the product is early. The narrowness is what makes the promise credible.
Included now
One business or venue; unlimited supported-format events with no per-event software charge; up to 100 participants in each event; initial founder-assisted setup and rehearsal; organiser-entered schedules and results; recorded correction, replay and forfeit actions; and a public result page.
The organiser owns
The entrant list, event rules, on-site operation, connectivity, result decisions, participant consent and timely use of the agreed workflow.
Not sold as ready
An event above 100 participants, live operational coverage, participant registration or payments, Swiss pairings, custom integration, white label, prizes, SSO and service-level guarantees are not included in €9/month. Large one-time events use the published capacity bands and still require explicit acceptance. Reusable custom work aligned with the product direction is welcome, but receives its own scope.
Questions
The four everyone asks.
Is the subscription billed online today?
Not yet. €9/month and €99/year are the commercial policy, but there is no automated checkout, renewal, card-on-file flow or usage meter. Enquiries and fit checks are open; after the readiness gate passes, founding subscriptions are agreed and invoiced manually.
Who qualifies for free Community access?
A school, registered nonprofit, student society or genuine hobby group using Competios non-commercially may apply. Product access stays free while eligible; founder-assisted onboarding is subject to capacity. Paid entry, sponsorship, client funding or a material venue or retail outcome makes the use commercial.
Can an early customer request product work?
Yes. Real event feedback is part of the reason for founding access. We actively consider work that is reusable and aligned with the Competios direction. The subscription does not buy unlimited bespoke engineering; larger product or operational work is agreed separately, and a dead-end private fork is not the goal.
What about more than 100 participants or paid entry?
A one-time event costs €99 for 101–1,000 participants, €199 for 1,001–10,000, €399 for 10,001–100,000, €599 for 100,001–1,000,000, or €999 above 1,000,000. It does not require a Venue subscription, but capacity and operational fit are confirmed before commitment. Free participation has no transaction fee. Competios does not collect registration payments today, so no payment fee is charged today. When paid participation ships, the adopted policy is 5% when Competios handles payment, or €1 per paid participant when the organiser connects its own Stripe account; processor fees are separate and shown before activation.
